Things That Annoy People On A Holiday
There are several reasons why people tend to take a holiday. There could be a need for retreat, or the desire to spend time away from routine life and everyday hassles. Moreover, one could also want change where they can enjoy without having anything to do, as, having nothing to do is considered a privilege by some.
The worst part is that others do not understand the need for peace, others being the nationals of the country. Come to think of it; it is not only the nationals that annoy the tourists. It could be a bit of everything. When you look forward to things, sometimes they just tend to go wrong, which inspires you to work harder trying to achieve the results.
In my opinion, one of the most dreadful things that could happen to a tourist is when he/she happens to get a work call that calls for their presence. People who take holidays, and are working individuals too, rate this as a secret general fear, because it is quite irritating to go to a holiday, and leave it in the middle to attend to work problems.
It is supremely annoying when nationals do not cooperate with the tourists. In China, even when the citizens, who know English, sometimes choose not to help the tourists, unless they speak Chinese. This annoyed tourists and hence, has become a known fact worldwide.
Tourists had a high level of frustration in Japan that continued for a lengthy span of time in attribution to the general Japanese fear of foreigners. This condition is known as Xenophobia. The stubborn stance of the people resulted from that. This could have even ended in the happening of being lost, and then never being able to be found. Such instances are just a few to mention, there are many more avenues of possibilities.
The prospect of everyday instances becoming a deja-vu has a huge tendency to pester tourists. A testimony proves the hypothesis that refers to a tourist who makes daily trips to the subway where Germans who hardly know the English language provide him help. The tourist who does not understand the reason behind this fussy treatment views this help as a nuisance. As it is, he fails to fathom the attitude of the local people who act as if he is a stranger despite seeing him on a daily basis.
Then there are people who travel to other countries from their homeland. They are accustomed to their homeland, cuisines henceforth any kind of adjustments to a foreign culture particularly in terms of food, becomes a source of intense irritation for them. For example, the matter of making queues to buy things is not a usual for them, as they are acquainted to being served first. Hence, they expect the same in a foreign country, and when they do not get that preferential treatment, it annoys them.
Tourists might not like the choices available for food. The food that is available sometimes does not suit their stomachs. In some countries, there is a rule that food will not be served anywhere after a given time. This happens in Iran, and hence, people travelling from other cities from all over Iran have to make sure that they take chunks of snacks so that they do not have to skip a meal. Sometimes, you arrive late at night into a city, but you have to remain hungry unless you have munchies with you.
